This project is a set of materials that advertise a fantastical exhibition based on the X-Man Gambit’s biography. For this assignment, I first analyzed the comics Gambit has appeared in, looking at the style of drawing, his various uniforms, and the form of the comic book itself. From these explorations, I created a logo, three postcards, an exhibition invitation, a save-the-date card, and a catalog. The color scheme reflected his main uniform colors, the typeface and size of the books were reminiscent of actual comic books, and the logo itself gave an air of personalization, as if Gambit himself had signed it.
